Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson definitely doesn’t want to hear your ideas about moving Marquise Brown to another team.

While there are likely some Kansas City Chiefs fans who would love having Marquise Brown on their favorite team’s roster, there are some folks in Baltimore who don’t want to see Brown leave the Baltimore Ravens.

Like Lamar Jackson, for example.

As it turns out, the starting quarterback for the Ravens likes having Brown on his team. He doesn’t want to see Brown playing for someone else. If you even remotely speculate about the possibility of Kansas City (who just moved Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a ton of draft picks) trading for Brown, you might just get a response from Jackson.

Baltimore’s quarterback took a moment of his time Wednesday to emphatically respond to ESPN’s Bill Barnwell, to make sure that thought got shut down immediately.

Who can blame Jackson?

Brown is a very solid and very reliable receiver and there’s absolutely no guarantee that Baltimore would easily be able to replace him. While there are other receivers that the Ravens could try to sign or draft, Baltimore already has Brown on its roster. Unless there’s some sort of need to trade him away, it seems like an ill-advised move for Baltimore to do.

The 24-year-old receiver is fresh off of his third year in the NFL. During the 2021 season, Brown caught 91 passes for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns. So far in his career, Brown has caught 195 passes for 2,361 yards and 21 touchdowns.

But if the Chiefs offer a trade package that cannot be refused, Lamar’s word can only go so far.
